Getting window tints during summer is always the best idea because the warm weather can be unforgiving on most days. Nothing is more painful than getting inside a hot and stuffy car where you cannot breathe.
Think about the times you may have felt a hot burn against your skin if you were not careful because the seats were too warm.  It is never fun touching a hot steering wheel when you need to sit back and wait for the air conditioning to blast before you can safely pull out of a parking lot. The Process of Getting Window Tints

If you are getting your car window tinting by a professional company like  Velocity Window Tinting , your ride will be taken to a safe space without wind and dust, which would usually be in a large area in their garage.

Step 1

The first thing car window tinting installers will do is prep your windows with a soapy water solution. These experts will then use a squeegee or sponge to remove all the dirt and debris. This is a necessary step to thoroughly clean the windows before applying any film.

Step 2

Your installer will then take each window’s measurements. This will help them cut accurate pieces of film for each one out of their master roll to fit your exact dimensions.
The film will be laid out on the exterior surface of your car’s window before being cut down even more to ensure precision. During this time, your installers will also use a heat gun to shrink the film.  This is part of the contouring process that adds curves to the glass. These emit low heat, so you never have to worry about any damage to your vehicle.

Step 3

This is where the peel board comes in. After cutting down the necessary film to match and fit the pattern of all your windows, your installer will carefully remove the film.  Then they will put it on their own glass, which is called the peel board. This helps cut even finer details for the shape of your windows. If there is any release liner, this is when they will remove that.

Step 4

After all the pieces have been expertly cut down to the most accurate shape and size for your car, now installers will place the film on the interior surface of your windows. Once again, they will use a soap and water solution.
This will be sprayed onto both the window and film. The release liner will get removed and applied to the window. With a sponge or squeegee, they will remove any extra solution that is under the film.  This process activates the adhesive property of the film, which will secure it to all your windows. Then there is no risk of the film ever coming off while you are driving.

Step 5

Your installer and their team will do their final checks to ensure that all the film is applied correctly. They will examine your windows’ interiors and exteriors to see if there are any imperfections needing repair.

Step 6

Now that the auto window tinting job is done, the installer will then call you to come and collect your car. They will warn you not to roll down any of the windows for around 3 days because that is how long it can take for all the film to cure and dry properly.
This depends on the climate and the type of film they have applied. Around this time, you can notice a slightly hazy appearance or tiny water bubbles. These are normal because the film might still be wet.  They should disappear once your window tinting is completely dry. Otherwise, you can always take your car back to let them know if you still see them after the waiting period.

Car window tinting can protect you from 99% of UV rays, especially during summer when the sun is out in full force. You will not have to suffer from glare. This is necessary because  too much glare  can irritably blind drivers on the road, making driving very risky.
You will also extend your car’s lifespan because heat and UV rays damage the vehicle’s interior. The sun’s rays on hot days can damage and fade your car’s upholstery.
Your dashboard and wood trim can also succumb to the heat. This will be obvious when you see the wood fade or the plastic bits crack and appear brittle.
Your skin will also be thankful for the new tins because summer is a  dangerous time  when most people suffer from sunburn. Even if you do not get dark tints, clear films can still protect you from harmful UV rays. It will always feel like you are under a safe shade while driving.
Window tints are insulating layers that trap heat inside the car on cold days and protect you from it during the hottest months. You will use less cooling and heating, which will save you money the next time you hit the fuel pump.

The rules for window tinting are different across the country. Always ensure you do your research before investing in them. Tinted cars also get more attention from the police, especially if they are too dark.
This is because dark tints lower visibility, and you may struggle to see roads clearly. Driving at night or  through tunnels  can be risky if you do not get the proper tints with sufficient clarity.
Never get a cheap dyed tint that is not installed by professionals. You will struggle to see with all the bubbling and peeling on the windows.
Even though these are inexpensive, they are not cost-effective. You will need to get them changed regularly, which will cost more than quality films in the long run.
